| A magyarországi zöldség- és gyümölcságazat felkészülése az uniós csatlakozásra nem volt igazán eredményes, uniós tagságunk eddigi tapasztalatai, eredményei is felemásak. A csatlakozásnak eddig több a negatív, az ágazat jövőjét veszélyeztető következménye, mint a pozitív hozadéka. | Az Észak-alföldi Régióban – köszönhetően Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megyének – összesen 60 vállalkozás, szövetkezet, betéti társaság, kft. és rt. foglalkozik zöldség-gyümölcs feldolgozással, konzerv- és fagyasztott termékek gyártásától a pálinka- és lekvárkészítésig. Megállapítható, hogy minél nagyobb az éves árbevétel, annál nagyobb szerepet kap a beszerzési funkció, az ezzel kapcsolatos ráfordítások és a szervezettség. Önálló beszerzési szervezet csupán 13 vállalkozásnál található a hatvan feldolgozóból. Ezek 500 millió Ft feletti árbevétellel rendelkező vállalkozások. | The Bay of Guaratuba, whose area is approximately 45 km(2), is a basin, situated to the south of Brazil (25 degrees 52' S; 48 degrees 39' W) and connected to the Atlantic ocean. In its northern part, a region of mangrove is found, under the influence of seasonal fluvial contributions, dominated by Laguncularia racemosa. The depth exceeds 6 m in some places. According to the period of the year, salinity varies between 3 and 37, and temperature between 15 and 28 degrees C. Several of the present fish species are exploited by commercial and recreational fisheries. This work describes characteristics of the fish populations occupying this mangrove, and temporal and spatial evolution of populations of the main species from available data on their biology.... |

| The transition of East German agriculture led to major structural adjustments that showed some very particular phenomena. For instance, most of the successors of the former agricultural production cooperatives (LPGs) make slight losses and they operate at a higher employment level than new and re-established farms. In this paper we try to explain these phenomena with the farms' history prior to the transition period. Particular attention is given to sunk costs, the identity of members and employees, and old debts. A Data Envelopment Analysis of 210 financial statements distributed over the financial years 1992/93 to 1995/96 gives evidence that these historical arguments had a decisive impact on the farms' behaviour.
